Network connection needs re-login (karmic)

Hello!

My network connection works fine. The only thing missing is that I have to 1) log out and 2) login after boot or reboot. I guess I can achieve the same thing with:

killall knetworkmanager; knetworkmanager

I am the only one on the WIFI network.

I have never seen this problem before Karmic Koala and it is a problem on clean installations on Lenovo T400 and Vaio something ;-)

Am I missing something? Others having the same problem? Maybe it is the kernel 2.6.31-16-generic - on a 64 bit system.
