Is there a repository for KDE extragears?

Hi!

I would really like to use a few applications of Kde Extragears.
Scrooge for example, newest Amarok and a few more ...l

So is there a software repository for kubuntu karmic?

I dont know if thars a repo or not ......I dident find a meta package yet eather but if you click on eney of the apps. on the home page it directs you to your distrobution's package managment or gives other ideas of how to get it .....home page

I did a seartch for you'r Scrooge (Skrooge)and a few others and found them all in the Kpackagekit.

Yes, you are right. I found the most applications also with kpackagekit or synaptic.
Though they seem to be really old versions in some cases, for example:

synaptic: Skrooge 0.2.9
homepage: Skrooge 0.5.1

Yes I can get a tarball at the homepage, but I'm not brave enough at the moment to start mixing repository binaries with self compiled tarballs.

You need to stop thinking that any packages 'latest' version will work with the version of Kubuntu you are running. If you want a reasonable degree of stability, stick with the packages that are in the repositories that match the version of Kubuntu you are using.
