Hello I recently installed kubuntu 9.10 on my T43 laptop. I run kde4 and everything runs smooth except the keyboard layout. When I enter the desktop (after the login screen) I have some weird keyboard layout. For example all the top row letters becomes something else. A funny thing is that when I press shift the layout is restored (I am using swedish layout). I have tried several types of swedish keyboard layouts but they all give the same results. This isn't that much of a bother except that after a while it can stop working again and then it doesen't help pressing shift.
Any ideas?
