    [Solved]Update Stolen/Unseen?

I have two computers both running kubuntu 9.10

I went to update to kde 4.3.4 from 4.3.3. The first computer saw them and did it fine. The second computer doesn't see the updates.

Is it because they using the same router that the server that dishes out updates assumes they are the same computer? I can't think of an idea why this is.

Compare the /etc/apt/sources.list file from each computer.

If they are different copy the one that allows the update to the one which doesn't. Update your gpg keys, then do your

    suto apt-get update
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

    from a konsole.

If they are the same then perhaps this thread will help you.

I just added the source from kubuntu web site to get the upgrade and it worked.

Strange... thought because it was running kde 4.3.3 it would have picked it up.... meh works now!

For some reason, 4.3.3 and 4.3.4 are in different ppas. (so having only the 4.3.3 ppa enabled won't get you 4.3.4)
