    Virtual Box

How do I get virtual box installed correctly in Kubuntu 9.10? I really would appreciate you help in this matter.

    Re: Virtual Box

You need these packages for Virtualbox.

    virtualbox-ose
    virtualbox-ose-guest-source
    virtualbox-ose-qt
    virtualbox-ose-source

All of the other dependencies will get pulled in from installing these packages.

      I downloaded the image here

      Notice the note:

Note: The package architecture has to match the Linux kernel architecture, that is, if you are running a 64-bit kernel, install the appropriate AMD64 package (it does not matter if you have an Intel or an AMD CPU).

After downloading the appropriate .deb file I just clicked on it and was nicely installed.
Maybe you can give some points where your installation failed.

You can also get VirtualBox non-free by following the instructions for Debian-based Linux distributions. This is what I use.

Yep, me too. That way you get new versions/bugfixes as soon as they are released (albeit the update downloads from that repository can be slow at times). USB support is standard too.
