    Blu Ray?

I was thinking of getting a Blu Ray drive for my laptop.

I was wondering would this even work with kubuntu? Is there software support for playing blu ray movies?

What about burning Blu-Ray Recordable Discs (BD-R) in K3b? Has anyone tried this?

My new computer came with a Blu-Ray drive, but so far I have only used it for DVD-R data discs

        Re: Blu Ray?

I'm really curious because I love watching Blu-ray movies at home on the ps3. I have a laptop with a full hd screen from System 76 and it would be sweet when I take the train to sometimes watch the hd glory for the ride.

Looks like there is some progress.

As for the DRM... yes it is evil but... the rest of the world running ps3's/dvd players and windows doesn't care... they use use it and enjoy it. So all you can do is embrace and disarm instead of ignore and get angry. Besides making linux less attractive with less functionality achieves nothing. Making linux surpass functionality and doing it with style is a sweeter revenge.
