Hey so i installed Kubuntu 9.10 and i was wondering

1.How do i install software?

2.Is their a keyboard config for The windows key+D for show desktop i try looking

3.okay now i tried searching for Kubuntu programs but all i can find is places that say Ubuntu and i was wondering if they say that can it be still installed on Kubuntu

4.and for firefox can i install themes & add-ons

okay i am sorry if this is in the wrong place and you probably notice i am a BIG n00b at Linux stuff any help would be appreciated and also thanks in advance

If you like XP's traditional menu then right mouse on the K-Gear (similar to Windows "Start") and choose "Switch to classic menu". It's a toggle and you can switch back if you like the newer menu structure.

1) K-Gear--> System --> KPackageKit.

If you don't like KPackageKit, then you can use it to install Synaptic, another package manager. Many prefer it.

2) Most KDE4 config settings are in K-Gear --> Settings --> Systemsettings.

4) Yes. FireFox works the same way in Linux as it does in Windows.
