OK, I upgraded from 9.0.4 to 9.10 when it came out... and had used kdenlive 0.7.5 without any issues on 9.04.
I tried to use it after upgrading, and it's not working.
I've tried loading previous projects, and creating simple new ones, but the same thing happens (even with an empty project). When I Play the project in the Project Monitor, it just hangs and the CPU pegs at 100%. It doesn't recover, and I have to kill kdenlive.
I thought upgrading to 0.7.6 might help, andI was able to do that using the method outlined here: http://kdenlive.org/user-manual/down...buntu-packages
But I still have the same problem. I didn't see this problem before, and it's not for lack of hardware - it's running on an Intel quad-core with 4 Gig of memory.
I am wondering if it is somehow related to audio, only because I had issues with getting audio to work correctly with some apps after the upgrade to 9.10. But I played around with the audio preferences in kdenlive, and it didn't seem to help.
Kdenlive 0.7.6 on Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.2.
