    Install cinelerra?

    Hi All

Got a video project going on - a 1hour wedding video.

Been using kdenlive. Promising start but on rendering it seemed to corrupt the timeline and as a result there were some periods where there was sound but a blank screen and dicsoncertingly 2 music tracks playing at the same time! It also did that to the project itself, not just the finished article, so there is work to do.

Have got the latest version (0.7.6 - which claims to fix some of these issues) but in case it doesn't I have looked at cinelerra. Trouble is I activate get the repository (http://akirad.cinelerra.org akirad-karmic main ) in my software sources but the app never seems available either via adept (yes I'm using that!) or with apt-get in the terminal . Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong here please?

    TIA
    Ian

    Re: Install cinelerra?

I haven't looked in Karmic repos (blown up machine) but IIRC cinelerra is already in the repos - at least I thought it was.

The install instructions look fairly straightforward -

May be a silly question but did you run apt-get update after adding the cinelerra repo?

I've used cinelerra before - as I recall it wasn't a real big deal getting it installed.

we see things not as they are, but as we are.

Yes I have - in fact when I added the software source adept did it automatically for me as well.

      It's a mystery to me

        Re: Install cinelerra? SOLVED

It has just worked - I'm just wondering whether there was a problem with the repository when I set it up.
