I can't get JasPer/Kopete video chat to work

I have the Netbook Tech Preveiw on my Acer Aspire One. Under Configure => Video the webcam image shows up fine, so I know Kopete can see it. But when I send people offers to video chat, they never get it. I tried to compile the jasper zip, I'm not having much luck with that. I didn't see a tarball. I have all the jasperish stuff on add/remove. I tried reinstalling kopete (which I'm not sure that ran right)
What should I try next?

Nope. Yahoo, gtalk sometimes facebook and myspace but not currently.
