SOLVED amarok strange behaviour

I have Kubuntu 9.10 with the latest Amarok2.2.0. It works well, does what I need. I have done a bit of housekeeping and removed a lot of files that I never listen to. But on the Local Music tab I still get songs listed that no longer exist on my hard drive. Of course they won't play, but they won't go away either.

Any suggestions. Thanks.

Have you updated the database using
Tools -> Update Collection
