    Samba not working on 9.10

Was using 8.04, now upgraded to 9.10 amd64. Samba is now not working. Applications->Settings->Samba does not bring up a window. Applications->System->Samba does not bring up a window. There is no process with "samba" in the name running. knetworkmanager is running. This is a clean install with packages "system-config-samba", "samba-common", "samba-common-bin", "samba" (2:3.4.0-3) loaded. Dolphin does see a Samba share from another 8.04 system, but does not see any of the Windows shares that are on the network (probably because I cannot configure Samba). What is wrong? How do I go about getting this to work?

Re: Samba not working on 9.10

Got this problem as well. The main samba server files seem to be loaded by default. Looking around the packages available, I have found a package called GADMIN-SAMBA. I have installed this and a brief look indicates a fairly straightforward gui. I will be trying later today, other things to do you know how it goes and I will report back.

I would appreciate any other feedback.
