problems with kopete

hey all,

i tried to connect to my yahoo account with kopete and it wouldn't connect. then i tried with pidgin and it worked. both of them are connecting to the same yahoo server (scsa.msg.yahoo.com), so there's something very strange going on. what's even more strange is that i tried to connect to my other yahoo account on kopete, using the same exact settings and it worked. can some1 explain this, or is there a workaround ? i'm desperate i hate pidgin cuz of lack of webcam/voice call support

"strangest thing" is not an appropriate title for a help forum thread. It will not help other people with the same issue finding this thread with, possibly, the solution to the same problem.

Please think up a more appropriate, descriptive title for this and future threads.

hehe i solved it. my hunches came true, kopete doesn't support special characters in password like these !@#$%^&*()

i changed my pass and that was all
