It seems that kaffeine from 9.10 repository doesn't support srt-subtitles any more. Anyway, description says it does. Maybe someone know how to make kaffeine show srt subtitles as it used to in previous versions?

Re: Where is Kaffeine subtitles support
To my understanding Kaffeine is in alpha stages :\ or so i saw on KDE.org . Probably that is why it's not included in Kubuntu Karmic? :P use VLC it's the best out there for mac, windows and Linux ^^ and Unix 2

Re: Where is Kaffeine subtitles support
Yep, when I posted this topic, I've already tried VLC and SMPlayer, they were ok with subtitles. But I had sound issues (no sound in VLC and SMPlayer but sound is ok in Kaffeine).
Anyway while waiting for answers here, I managed to fix sound issues somehow and now I'm using SMPlayer which I liked better than Kaffeine and VLC.
Now the problem is that both SMPlayer and Kaffeine don't answer to anyremote (anyremote2html) commands, neither do VLC, only Amarok does. But with this one I can live.
