[SOLVED] Dead keys not working on QT-based programs

After the update from Intrepid to Karmic, my QT softwares (Kmess, Kate, etc.) are no more able to use dead keys, like "ã" and "é".
GTK and other programs (Firefox, OpenOffice, etc) have no problem.
Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.
PS: My locale is pt_BR (portuguese-Brazil, layout ABNT2, 105 keys).

Re: Dead keys not working on QT-based programs

This is an old QT bug which I had hoped was fixed. It's also related to scim or skim.
Check the ubuntu , qt and the scim bug trackers: each have an official bug report about dead keys not working. You'll get more in depth info there.

Re: Dead keys not working on QT-based programs

I just reinstalled Kubuntu Karmic and the problem is solved. Maybe the conflict did happen because of the KDE and GNOME installed together in the same system updated from 9.04. The problem was not brought from 9.04, but it started in 9.10.
      Sorry for bad English.
