Karmic Repositories

I must be stupid, I cannot for the life of me find a list of repositories for Karmic. I don't remember where I got them for previous distros and I did a fresh install so my repositories were not updated or anything.

After you install Karmic you will find them in this file:
/etc/apt/sources.list

cat /etc/apt/sources.list

will display it in a konsole.

Just open Kpackagekit (the Package Manager for Karmic) and check/uncheck the listed repositories. If, however, you mean third-party or PPA repositories, well, that depends completely on what you want.

All I need now is Inkscape. it says it is in the universe repository, however all I seem to have is universe multiverse and vice versa.. also are Ubuntu repositories the same a Kubuntu? I did update my sources.list, but it was with a massive number of repositories from an ubuntu 9.10 user. furthermore "sudo apt-get update" has errors, so think that is where my missing software is.
