    Lost video in Dragon Player

Ok... it was working fine last night...

But now when Dragon player opens up I can hear sound, but there is no video at all.. in fact instead of the video showing up it shows the background of my wallpaper

I was messing around installing different codecs because Amarok wouldn't play some of music files (converted WMA's to .flac.) So I installed the win 64 codecs from medibuntu, Mplayer, VLC, FFMPEG and WinFF to try and see if I could get the right codecs for those files to play in Amarok.. (with no luck BTW) So I uninstalled VLC, and Mplayer and still no luck..... Maybe if I re-installed the restricted extras it would fix this? Or are other people having a similar problem?

I installed 9.10 and now when I click on a video, Dragon Player will show it fine in its original format (about 1/4 fof the screen) but if I try to fullscreen it or even stretch out a bit, it becomes all scrambled.

I checked with VLC and Mplayer and it does the whole thing.

Needless to say the wife isnt please at watching her shows like this.

I have faced exactly the same issue and have been dicking around with it for ages trying to solve it. As far as I can tell it's a video driver issue. I had the nVidia issue when I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 where I ended up with no graphical desktop but rather a console login screen. I have since resolved this and have been trying various versions of the nVidia drivers (amongst reinstalling video players. libraries, you name it) and have had intermittent issues where I'll either have video working when playing movies, and GLX fails so I get a big black block behind my cairo dock, or GLX is working and my cairo dock now no longer has the black block behind it but I no longer have working video when playing movies but rather the desktop background.

I've tried version 185, version 190, version 173 and can't get a proper solution. Perhaps its not the video driver at all but something else not playing nice...I have no idea at this point. Extremely frustrating!
