Problem with Kopete?

My account don`t work on Kopete I need help
I use gmail account and my proxy have blocked most of the ports
I try 5222 and 443 but don`t work.

google talk is working in windows on same proxy.

Same here.....
I just can't connect through Kopete.
But if I use Pidgin(GTK/GNOME) or Psi(QT) I am able to connect.

But they also require some peculiar settings for me because 5222 and 52223 ports are blocked by college firewall

I have no problems with Gmail, Yahoo, MSN and ICQ on Kopete.

What I have is this message which comes up regularly with "You are not allowed to add yourself to the contact list. The addition of "$username" to account "$username" will not take place."

I checked around and its been around for awhile (i saw a forum post from 2005) but Inever ran into it until 9.10.
