Nvidia GF8800, KWin compositing/desktop effects?

Not sure if this should go in hardware or software... I'll just put it here.

So, I have a fresh install of Karmic, I try to enable those awesome desktop effects from 9.04 and I get an error: "Failed to activate desktop effects using the given configuration options. Settings will be reverted to their previous values. Check your X configuration. You may also consider changing advanced options, especially changing the compositing type."

Are there some drivers I need to get to enable compositing?

I forgot to activate the Nvidia driver. I'm an idiot.

I've got the same thing but cann't see where to activate the driver (I must be blind).
