This is wierd, no matter what I try it does not play cd's!

I have two different optical drives -- one is SATA, the other is IDE. Amarok will NOT play a cd if inserted into the SATA drive, but it WILL play a CD if inserted into the IDE drive. I'm wondering if the type of CD/DVD drive makes a difference?
