eclipse galileo broken

updated to the newest eclipse (i.e. galileo) from the repos.
i cannot install any plugins, updates, or anything.
i have several "error creating feature..." error messages.
the basics work.
but i have no svn, xml, ..., plugins.
i removed everything about eclipse and reinstalled galileo from scratch.
no luck.

had some time to look into the issue.

there's actually a bug open at launchpad about this.
and there's another one related.
i tried the suggested workarounds without luck.

it seems the bug be fixed in packaged version 3.5.1-0ubuntu3.
we'll just have to wait for this version to pop up in the repos.
