    Repositories

    Which repos are ok ? dont know if I'm missing something but I haven't had an update in days now.

    Wouldn't worry. But, to see if the repositories you have are all okay, just open a console and run:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.

        At work, so can't check. That, and I'm not on Karmic, so ...

        But again, if you have made no changes to your active repositories, then don't worry.
        Windows no longer obstructs my view.

              Hi Teunis
              I suddenly had a mass of updates this morning ..over 200 ! Updated ,rebooted and then had a black screen tried to use a previus kernel and seems it could not find the kernel image :P Just re-installed and kept my home folder

                Not a nice experience but neither unexpected in a test version

                I prefer to do the updates from the command line because it gives the best feedback in case of issues.
                And the past two days twice some packages were not found on the Dutch server (.nl) but going to the main server fixed it.
                Luckily aptitude will not do a partial update so chances of damaging the existing install because of missing parts are minimal.

                Thankfully it's really easy and compared to some commercial grade OS very quick to do a new install, especially with a separate /home partition. 8)
                (Providing you have a fast internet connection)
