First check that it isn't your power management settings:
    SystemSettings>Advanced>PowerManagement
(Check your power profiles, they have an option to turn desktop effects off)

      I had to go to
      System | Hardware Drivers
and activate the proprietary Nvidia driver to get compositing to work.

That's what you have to do if you have an nvidia chip (no 3d in the open drivers)...the OP has intel graphics and the problem was that the effects are sometimes turned off when on battery power.

In the picture you have desktop effects disabled. So, in that mode you will not have composting. Enable desktop effects, and it should be fine.

Did you also check the 'Aggressive powersave' and 'Extreme powersave' profiles (these are used when battery gets low)?

thankssssssssss again my problem was with the power save profile i mean when the battery is full, yesterday i tried to run my laptop with battery for 2 times and there wasn't any problems , so i think it was an occasional problem not a bug. what do u say about it

Right, then it doesn't seem to be your power profile settings as I initially suspected.

Could be, although those "occasional problems" are usually the hardest to track down

At least it's probably not a show-stopper for you, if it works most of the time (and when it doesn't, can you turn the effects back on manually?)

One last thing you can try, is to turn the "functionality checks" off in SystemSettings>Desktop>DesktopEffects>Advanced
(it's possible kwin sometimes disables the effects if your graphics card seems "too slow" in powersave mode)
