    Troubles with kubuntu 9.10

    Hi you all!
    I am tried kubuntu 9.10 beta, but my knetwork manager do not run! I can not connect to my wifi network...
    So, I have another trouble, that really it is the same the I have with kubuntu 9.04 and 8.10. My audio cd do not work correctly.
    I have two dvd units, but dolphin do not open them, while amarok read only one...
    whit data cd, everything run correctly, instead...
    Have you my same problems?

    You don't give much of a description of your problems so I'll give you a generic answer.

    I and many others have similar issues but as the solutions are well known they are not problems.

    Knetworkmanager is a troublesome and unfinished product, especially when it comes to WIFI using WPA, and it's generally recommended to install wicd instead.
    This is assuming you can make a wired connection.
    Else you can download the wicd deb file on another computer and then install it.
    http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/all/wicd/download
    (The install of wicd will automatically remove the existing network manager.)

    To play media you need to install the needed codecs that can't be included on the CD due to the US insistence on software patents.
    The easiest way is by adding the Medibuntu repositories:
