    PPTP

I am trying to use the new (and to be honest, very nice KDE 4.3 interface) 9.10 karmic kubuntu. Just thought that I would since knacked my 9.04 one with playing about with different applications etc.

I am trying to use the PPTP network manager to connect to a Microsoft PPTP server but it just says activiating and on the logs says that the remote connection was closed without any other information, could include more details here ?

Was just wondering if anyone else has been able to connect to a PPTP with the interface ?

I have installed the pptp packages as well.

Read this post and see what you think about it.

The simple way is just to use the console and type

    Code:
    sudo pppoeconf
Using wicd or nm is great, especially when you have a number of connections, but if you only have one there is not much effort involved.

I did try KPPP and couldn't get it to work, but others report that it works for them.
