Re: "FSCK: Superblock last write time is in the future"

Apparently, this is but one of a number of issues related to a fairly massive, and long-term shift in the booting "methodology" for Debian:

I had this too, until I make karmic use local time instead of UTC.

I wrote this in another thread:

      http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3106398.0

Karmic seems to install with UTC as the main hwclock setting, making everything relative to the local time zone when set. However when dual booting, something seems to cause the UTC and real localtime values to appear different, making karmic look like it was booted in the future.

the value of the UTC variable in /etc/default/rcS should tell if this is the cause.

Yep, changing to UTC=no fixed it.
        Thanks for that.
