    I lose my network connection

I'm running Kubuntu 9.10, 64-bit version. It installed and connected to the Internet easily. However, after running for several minutes, often without use, the Internet connection is lost. I'm unable to get it reconnected. I go to System Settings->Network Settings->Network Connections->Wireless but everything seems to be in order. Then I go to Restart Computer and it won't work. I have to shut off the power manually. Upon restart the connection is fine.

I don't have a clue what the problem is. If anyone has suggestions I'd sure like to hear them.

    Thank you.

My suggestion is to install Synaptic package manager, then install wicd in order to replace knm.

Does recycling your wireless power restore connection and then reconnecting with knm without rebooting the PC work? IF so, it could be your wireless going out!
