    Tricky LiveCD Problem with Wireless.

Ok, Kubuntu 9.10, obviously, I am trying to make my own LiveCd image to put on a pen drive with the software i want installed in the image. I got the instructions on how to do it from here: http://www.debuntu.org/how-to-custom...ubuntu-live-cd
Everything is going splendid as far as this goes. My only issue is when im using the apt-get commands in terminal to update what packages are available after editing /etc/apt/sources.list to use everything and update and dist-upgrade i get:

    root@ubuntu:/# apt-get update
    Get:1 http://security.ubuntu.com karmic-security Release.gpg [189B]
    Ign http://security.ubuntu.com karmic-security/main Translation-en_US
    Get:2 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic Release.gpg [189B]
    Ign http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Translation-en_US
96% [Working]FATAL -> Could not set non-blocking flag Bad file descriptor
E: Method http has died unexpectedly!
E: Sub-process http returned an error code (100)
    root@ubuntu:/#

When i do this under terminal in my working kubuntu system everything works as planned. What can i do to solve this issue so i can get this accomplished. Thanks a million.
