[SOLVED] Disable service network-manager and knetworkmanager

I have problemes connecting to my wireless network. I use a hidden network and wpa encryption. knetworkmanager is restarting after some minutes and associates again with the router. This causes the wireless connection to go down. Sometimes knetworkmanager crashes.

I added the credentials to /etc/networking/interfaces. After killing knetworkmanager and stopping network-manager with
    Code:
    stop network-manager
    I started
    Code:
    start networking
    which works fine.

How can I use only /etc/networking/interfaces instead of network-manager and knetworkmanager without manually disabling them?

    Thanks

Re: Disable service network-manager and knetworkmanager [SOLVED]

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
      The solution I found was:

      /etc/network/interfaces:
      Code:
      auto lo
      iface lo inet loopback

      auto wlan0
      iface wlan0 inet dhcp
      wpa-ap-scan 1
      wpa-scan-ssid 1
      wpa-ssid MYSSID
      wpa-psk MYPSKPASSPHRASE
      and removing network-manager:
      Code:
      sudo apt-get remove network-manager
      this also removes knetworkmanager.

Now my network starts at boot without any interference with other services.
