Upgrade to karmic - knetworkmanager not starting after login

I recently upgraded my Kubuntu - actually I went from Mint KDE 7 Gloria to kubuntu karmic. knetworkmanager is not launching when I log in. If I start it manually from the menu, it is fine.
I have also added it to Autostart via the settings menu. It still does not start. Can anybody help?

I solved this myself by removing my old .kde directory and starting fresh.
