KDE Partition Manager -- operations greyed out

I'm trying to run the KDE Partition Manager, but all the operations seem to be greyed out. I understand that certain operations might not be valid with a locked partition, but it should at least be possible to copy any partition. Is it the case that such operations aren't yet implemented even though they are on the menu? Since this is new software, that might not be so surprising.

The partition manager can only be run with root privileges.

and if it is locked, you can try right-click > unmount (if it's right to do so--GParted should tell you)
