wubi install downloading amd64 iso although i have 32 bit intel

Shouldnt wubi download 386 iso? I am using latest rev170 wubi installer since it seems earlier versions dont work with windows 7 very well unleast on my computer.

Are you absolutely sure you have a 32 bit cpu, and it's an Intel?

If so then wubi is probably getting the wrong version. Download the 32 bit manually, burn it to a disc, then run wubi from the disk (it's on the root of the disk, just open explorer and run wubi.exe).

Well actually, that would say you have a 32 bit even if you had a 64 bit, if you only have a 32 bit OS installed. But yeah, probably a 32 then.

        Good luck!

If I'm not mistaken, a Intel duo core 2 is a 64 bit processor. you may only be running a 32 bit version of windows but the wubi instaler realized you have a 64 bit processor. let it dl the 64 bit. if you boot to it and it doesn't work, reboot to windows and uninstall it then force it to the 32 bit version as above

            You are right - Core 2 Duo "Merom", "Merom-2M" (standard-voltage, 65 nm)

            * All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST), Intel 64,

            I feel so stupid
