hello all,
i have been working on getting my Blue and White G3 Mac to run linux.and for some reason i find my self unable to boot any linux based install cd on it (yes i got the ppc versions of the disks)
i would like to set up my computer to boot the mac to a debian network install disk .
my network has a router (linksys) running DD-wrt firmware, i have set in the router dhcp and the dnsmasq options as follows, "dhcp-boot=yaboot,<s.name>,<s.ip>.
there are a few other machines in the network as well, there not relevent for this info.
the server for this is my desktop machine i have set up tftp server and placed the files (according to the debian howto) needed for boot. i also need to get bootp working (cause the mac uses bootp for netbooting). so i installed the bootp package (says its server in synaptic). and i am having some problems getting the client to speak with the server, can any on offer guidance on this?
