How do I change KDM default image?

    I changed my login theme.

But KDM default image always appear before my changed login theme appear.

I want to change this image, but I don`t know how to solve this.

It started doing this after KDE 4.2.4. Don't know why, just know you are not alone. I heard several explanations, one which said it was not KDE, but, Kubuntu upgrade to make a quicker bootup.

      There are two possible causes:
      1. In default kubuntu, ksplashx (the KDE starting splash screen) loads before kdm (login screen), so you may see the ksplashx background before the login background. So you can either use the same background for your splash theme, or prevent ksplasx from starting before kdm (this requires a bit of tinkering, so I'd recommend the former)

      2. Another possibility is that kdm loads a (non-themed) background before it loads the theme you've chosen. This can be set in SystemSettings>Advanced>LoginManager, disable theme temporarily to access background settings in the "Background" tab.
