Set for Auto write speed. Will try setting write speed at 4x this is the lowest speed available with ImgBurn then try burning again.

        Re: Burning errors

In my experience the most common cause of burning errors is bad discs. I buy my discs in spools of 100, and sometimes I get a bad spool. A bad spool may have anywhere from 10% to 30% (10 to 30 discs or more) bad discs. When this happens, I switch to a different manufacturer.

The second most common cause of burning errors is a failing drive. Optical drives seem to wear out annoyingly quickly, even the most expensive ones. Well, I do work my optical drives very hard making continual backups of my important data, so others may not have the same experience. A failing optical drive may behave very erratically, and there is no one symptom to look for except that it will only get worse over time. The drive may fail completely in one shot, but that is the rarest case. Usually they simply work sporadically, and get steadily worse as they wear out.

          Thanks Telengard,
Yes it was a faulty disk. Tried another fresh disk and no errors.

            Completely agree with Telengard.

When you get a bad burn, simply try another (new) disk. Preferably a good brand, one of the best choices being:
            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817294013
or other TAIYO YUDEN line--I didn't know they had a "value line."
Buy that, burn your disks at 12x-25x, and you'll seldom encounter any glitches. If you do (I've never), throw that disk away and grab a new one and try again.
