I just did an upgrade to Karmic. Part of the way through the install died, but I was able to get it started again. Everything seems to be okay except for one problem. The progress bar that is shown on boot up doesn't disappear. It just stays in the virtual terminal. Even when I'm in X there are three tiny progress bars on the screen, constantly going back and forth. The progress bar animation didn't change from the last Kubuntu release.
