taskbar doesn't display running window icons!

After updating a couple of days ago, my taskbar lost many program icons and other applets.

How do I start taskbar and icons applets?

I was not able to add pretty much everything back except for the icons that represent running programs. I can't figure out how to add them back.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

sounds like you just nee to right click the panel >panel options>add widgets> and add the task manager back. hope this helps.
