    [Solved] Partition Issue

I have a pal with Mac Os X Snow Leopard and he divided his laptop with Windows 7. Afterwards, he decided he wanted Ubuntu 9.10 (good choice). So he "deleted" Windows 7. But now he can't install Ubuntu 9.10 (his Mac doesn't seem to allow it anymore). So he even tried to install Windows 7 again but the laptop recognizes that Windows 7 is already "installed". What's going on here? How is it possible to install Ubuntu 9.10?

    Thanks in advance

How did he install Windows 7.... through boot camp? How did he delete Windows 7..... through Boot Camp? or did he just delete the partition by moving it to trash. If he did that, then he has a problem. He probably has to go through, re-claim the partition and then re-partition it again.

I'd just use Parallels (which I am). I can delete and re-install VM's on a whim. But am still having trouble with Karmic Kola recognizing my virtual hard drive. 9.04 did that easily, but not 9.10.

Oh I see. And you use Parallels instead. Very well, thanks! : )
