    [SOLVED] After upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 it boots into console

    Hi all. I've just upgraded the system to 9.10 and now it doesn't start KDE and shows the console. I have to login and do "startx" to get KDE started.

    My graphics card is Nvidia Quadro NVS 140 and I've tried reinstalling the drivers with the same result.

    At least I can work, since everything else seems to be working, but it's really annoying to have to do this manually all the time.

    Is this a known bug or am I missing something?

      Thanks very much. I can now effectively log into KDE, but since I don't have the nvidia's driver compositing doesn't work.

      Should I wait for an update of the driver or what can I do? Thx.

        Solved the nvidia driver issue. As far as I know, all problems solved here, everything working
