Don't know if this is the right place for this question, but in case anybody has a simple solution...
Using Karmic (fresh install) and, well, Calibre.
Downloaded a book from the Gutenberg project in mobi-format.
Started Calibre and added the book to its library.
Connected Kindle-> not recognised.
Went to Calibre FAQ: "Why is my device not detected in Linux?" (My device WAS detected by Linux, but not by Calibre!) FAQ said to run a command to ask what SYSFS was being used, so I:
Ran: grep SYSFS_DEPRECATED /boot/config-`uname -r`
It returned: CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED_V2 is not set
According to FAQ, that was as it should be.
REbooted, restarted calibre, etc. no Kindle detected. What is wrong?
Would be very grateful for Kindle cum Calibre experience.
