Is there any way to automount usb devices? I noticed KDE or kubuntu only appears to be half way mounting them. I had installed Karmic and now installed Jaunty hoping to resolve this problem... Where I thought the problem was the degradation of hal in karmic. Jaunty Gnome is mounting flawlessly, when in both KDE Jaunty and Karmic I have to click the device to actually mount it.
Im trying to setup a computer for some linux novices, instructing them to open in file manager before actually being able to use the device seems redundant and unacceptable.
How can I have it so when a thumb drive, ipod, etc is plugged in - it mounts as it would if I gave it an action, automatically? Currently I see it in both Jaunty and Karmic in the Device Notifier or while browsing files, but never actually mounts it (unless I click it from file manager or give it an action to open it from device notifier)
Thanks in advance
