My Dell Inspiron 1520 comes with nVidia GeForce 8600 and if I use Fn + Arrow (Up/Down) I can toggle the brightness but each step of control jumps from 100% > 71% > 40% and so on.
I am looking for any KDE utility or widget and came across this NVidia Brightness that leverage on SmartDimmer. The author asked me to check using SmartDimmer of my hardware support and turned out that only HP/SamsungSony/Zepto laptops are supported.
Are there any alternative similar tool out there I can use? Before switch to Kubuntu, Ubuntu do have Applet that serve the purpose.
