Oh well. After trying to get KK to work on this laptop from the graphics to now the wireless I must Downgrade to JJ. I soooo love KK, but for this laptop there are way to many issues. I get errors on my wireless card. Thought it was IPv6 so I did find a way to disable that but not go. Still RX errors that prevent me from getting on the Internet via the wireless. Wired YEAH! Wireless . I can see other systems on the net and get to those resources and even ping them through wireless, only Internet does not work. Tried my JJ lLiveCD and it works there no issues. Why oh why!!! Won't do this until latter this weekend, so if anybody has any ideas, please write up B4 I do install JJ. Thanks!

Re: Wireless produces errors.....
Well, let's all give Moonrise some consolation and pats-on-the-back "there, there's."
Really. I'm also waiting for news that Intel has released new drivers that actually work with the .31 kernel that Karmic is using. From what I've see said about KDE 4.4, I'd certainly like to give it a go. But, without a functioning Intel driver, I'll remain content with JJ. At least everything works with it.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

I'm on KDE 4.3.2. There are instructions for adding the repository and GPG key so you can upgrade to KDE 4.3.2. Let me do some looking for it.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Re: Wireless produces errors.....
Ahhhh..... I think I found my problem. At least so far so good. I thought maybe it was just network-manager. Never really had issues with it, but hey, what if I'm affected like others have been by it. So I installed wicd and as I said, so far so good. My only question. Is there a tray icon for it? One that would let you know if you are wired or wireless or is it all pseudo manual though the GUI.

Re: [SOLVED] Wireless produces errors.....
IF you are going to upgrade to 4.3.2 then why not just jump to 4.3.4?

Re: [SOLVED] Wireless produces errors.....
Haven't tried it yet in beta. I wonder if it "fixes" network-manager. Have you tried it? As I said, I've never had issues with it until recently, which is odd, but wicd seems like a very well written tool.
EDIT: Wait, that's 4.4 in Beta. I have 4.3.4 on this laptop under KK. Went by what was on my LiveCD. So there is a PPA for JJ to use 4.3.4? Doesn't matter now. I got this problem fixed, I think.
