    (SOLVED) Microsoft Keyboard

    I have recently installed kubuntu karmic on my sisters pc. I got almost everything working alright, except the keyboard. She has a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard v1.0 that is not fully functional.

    The multimedia keys are the least of my concerns. All function keys and the backspace key do not work. What solutions do I have to get this working?

    My sister just asked me what that extra key was for. It is labeled "F Lock". After pressing this key the normal function keys work...

      It appears that the keyboard should be supported. Check to see that the correct keyboard is selected

      K -> System Settings -> Regional & Language -> Keyboard Layout
      Change Keyboard model to "Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A"
