ive been looking for an hour on a clean solution to my problem. after updating from 9.4, my mouse pad and sound do not work on my dell inspiron 1521.

id just like to add, a usb mouse works. however, seeing as im on a laptop, thats kinda pointless. ive read somewhere about the auto-updater forgetting to update certain packages [menu.lst]? just throwing some things out there, id like to get this sorted out as soon as possible...

I guess i found the solution; i just went to synaptic and updated the kernal- fixed both problems... just in case anyone else couldnt find any help on here... :-X
