Kubuntu won't recognize the drive it is installed on

Hi, I'm new to the Linux community and just installed Kubuntu from a recommendation of a friend.

Anyways, it looks really cool, however Kubuntu cannot recognize the partition it is installed on which unfortunately houses all my media. Is there a way to work around this without giving Kubuntu it's own partition?

    Thanks

Welcome! I'm just a bit confused by how you posed your question. Can you provide some more detail as to how you installed? When you say 'without giving Kubuntu it's own partition?' can I assume that you mean that you've done a Wubi install?

Hi Snowhog. Yes, I used the Wubi install method and chose the option to install inside windows.

I have 4 partitions: My Windows OS partition, my back up for Windows, a media partition and a downloads partition. I chose to install Kubuntu inside the Media partition on my computer.
