problems with Telstra next G wireless BB connection

H i all. I am trying to get my wireless BB modem to work . I went to network manager and set it up with my usual passords. When I try to connect I get a message that a password is required for CMOTEC CO LTD. CMOTEC CDMA TECNOLOGIES. The modem is the big blue twin antennae model BP3-EXT . Its pretty old. Any ideas?

more info. I removed the telstra next G connection in the Network Manager and then set it up again in case I had made a mistake originally. When I try to connect the first message I get is
        Allow Application Access to Keyring?
The application' Network Manager Applet' (/usr/bin/nm-applet) wants to access the password for 'Network Secret for Telstra Telstra ( Next G) 1/gsm/password' in the default keyring.
        Deny Allow once Always allow
        The next message is
        MOBILE BROADBAND NETWORK PASSWORD
A password is required to connect to Telstra Telstra ( Next G)1
CMOTECH CO LTD. CMOTECH CDMA Technologies.
Password----------------------. I have tried the unlock code from Telstra. No luck.
