    Latitude 2100 Touchscreen

    Hello, everyone.

I've successfully installed Kubuntu 9.10 on a Latitude 2100 (not the netbook variant of Kubuntu, but the regular desktop version). I got this netbook from work, and it shipped with Windows.

The 2100 has a touchscreen. I found instructions here:

    http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell...u-linux-2.html

I couldn't find any Kubuntu instructions. Since these are Ubuntu instructions, I just substituted KDM for GDM.

    Everything's working. But ...

The calibration on the touchscreen is off. It works well in the middle of the screen, but won't reach all the way to the edge. It stops about .5 inch short on all four sides.
This makes using the kicker and some other controls a little problematic.

Using the calibration utility that came with the drivers doesn't seem to fix anything. (Wondering if they only work in Gnome ... ?)

I'm a bit of a newbie, but have some skill/background. Can anyone guide me on where to look to try and calibrate this screen in Kubuntu?

Thanks, Vinny. Duh, from me, for missing those lines at the end of the page. I'll see if anything helps in there, then will post the results.

I don't think there's any GTK stuff on the netbook. I'll try that, too.

Another duh moment. After looking at those files, I realized that they hadn't been edited by the configuration utility. I ran the utility under sudo and--viola!--calibration succeeded.
