        Hi Noga,

How is the sun in Italy ?

What was working best on previous versions of Kubuntu for you?

You most probably messed up your Xorg or tty.
Try to press Ctrl + Alt + F1 when you end up again in the same place (sometimes you need to wit few seconds and/or press again).

If this will show terminal "login page" login as usual and try to check logs. (google it)

If Ctrl + Alt + F1 won't switch you repeat all process for buttons from F1 to (errrr.... I forgot which one exactly ) F8 say.

first off boot to recovery mode by pressing esc when grub shows up and selecting it,
when in recovery mode attempt repair or xorg,

after you fix your driver be sure to get the ATI package install from there site for your card the one included in the repos is older and cards like my 4830HD are not so great with it. (www.ati.com)

once you have the open dolphin, browse to where the file is press F4 (should open a konsole on the bottom of dolphin) then type in sudo sh ati (then press tab for auto complete) and press enter, it will open a nice gui installer and set every thing up. you will need to reboot after install, good luck

Sithlord48 - I think you should write him "how to" do it as he in first post describes he's beginner.

Besides - Noga, I can see you have been is quite a rush. Where are you now?

              5. press F4(in dolphin) konsole will show on bottom half of dolphin
