Sound goes on and off again on my HP laptop

Hi there, ofcourse i first searched on the forum, but with my chipset in 2009 there was no post pointing to my prob...
I have a hp Pavillion dv9000 witch worked fine with Jaunty.
I upgraded and now the soundsystem goes off after a few seconds.
It goes on again before producing any sound so that works but it makes a "plop" when going online.
And if i have a headphone or external speakers connected it goes on and off in a loop, making me crazy..
My workaround, i think a bit dirty, is starting Virtualbox, that keeps the soundsystem occupied so that it stays on.
So, summary, sound works, but keeps on going offline.
To be sure it wasn't due to the upgrade i booted into a fresh non beta karmic cd and experienced the same.
now follows a report of the hardware i made booting into BartPE with Everest. (Yeah i know, lame i dont know another way)

Re: Sound goes on and off again on my HP laptop

There is a new powersaving mode that has been added for the sound card. You should be able to disable it by editing /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
    Code:
    kdesudo kate /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and comment out the following line:
    Code:
    options snd-hda-intel power_save=10 power_save_controller=N
    so that it looks like:
    Code:
    #options snd-hda-intel power_save=10 power_save_controller=N
Once you restart, it should no longer produce the popping noise.

I've problem not quite the same as him but no sound, actually. I tried changing the alsa.conf file and it's work !!
Sound comes back again. My laptop is acer aspire 3810TZ. One thing I'm being worried is the power saving feature was disable, looking for other code.
